Summary


In support of the responsibilities of the Assistant Vice President of Quality, and with guidance from the Sr. Director, Clinical Data Analytics and supervisor, the Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer strategizes and implements BI solutions to enable performance improvement across a healthcare provider's?health system through the development and maintenance of statistical and analytical reports, dashboards, databases, and applications.



  • Gather and maintain data from a variety of sources, including but not limited to ERP Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and Supply Chain application data (from both internal and external sources)

  • Facilitate collaboration among technical and non-technical staff to define database and application requirements

  • Design, code, test, and maintain databases and applications, demonstrating advanced technical skill with commercial applications and programming languages with a focus on the Oracle BI Application (OBIA) solution stack including hands on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), OBIEE Modeling with the repository (RPD), OBIEE dashboard development, and OBIEE Administration tasks such as security setup.?



Note: Experience with the Oracle analytics cloud (OAC) is a plus and having OBIA experience with PeopleSoft as the source system is ideal.



Education/Training



  • Bachelor?s degree in computer-related (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) or health-related (e.g., Health Science, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering) field; Master?s degree preferred.



Experience



  • 5 years of experience leveraging data to drive significant business impact.

  • 3 years of experience in BI reporting data warehouse design and BI modeling, including advanced skills using the Oracle OBIA solution with ODI and OBIEE implementation skills

  • Oracle certification preferred.



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Proficient in statistical analysis and visualization of data using BI tools in response to customer requirements to enable strategic decision making.

  • Competence with database systems and the ability to write complex SQL queries.

  • Demonstrated understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), and familiarity with complex data structures and data models.

  • Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills required to support working in project environments that include internal, external and customer teams.

  • PeopleSoft application development experience a plus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities



  • Collaborates with other technical and non-technical teams throughout the organization to deliver data solutions which establish and meet business, technical, and data governance requirements.

  • Leads the design, development, deployment, documentation, testing, and maintenance of dashboards, statistical analyses and reports, and data integration systems.

  • Gathers and documents requirements from associates across a healthcare provider?including clinical, performance improvement, quality and safety, infection prevention, and ambulatory leadership, at both the corporate and facility levels, establishing and maintaining professional relationships with these individuals.

  • Develops 'self-service' data sources for a healthcare provider's?associates; prepares and delivers sample reports and presentations demonstrating the use of the data sources to visualize and analyze data.

  • Develops data models and OBIEE RPDs to configure data integration from a variety of sources into harmonized data structures for reporting and analysis.

  • Identifies improvements in tools, data sources, reports, data quality and analytic techniques and implements solutions where applicable. Independently recognizes data inconsistencies and works to address.

  • Performs quality assurance activities of data integration processes and analytical reports, including testing the work of other team members.

  • Creates ad-hoc queries and reports as requested and provides on-going statistical analyses and modeling for these requests.

  • Develops and maintains health care subject matter expertise related to specific data elements, business processes, and BI applications. Mentors and transfers knowledge to peers.

  • Performs project planning and management efforts for small/medium projects. Estimates software development efforts based on high level specifications and/or logical system design.

  • Reports and tracks quality assurance issues, and follows-up as appropriate.

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards.

  • Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.

  • Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Participates in meetings, serves on committees and represents the department and hospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
