Cash Management Manager - White Marsh

Responsibilities:
Oversees cash management strategy and activities, such as posting procedures for payments and refunds or bank account administration.
Determines corporate cash requirements and manages incoming and outgoing cash effectively on a daily basis.
Ensures Treasury department's adherence to approved annual budgets.
Ensures compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Evaluates business performance and recommends methods to streamline operations including BAI information reporting, positive pay, funds transfers via Treasury workstation, cash concentration on the workstation and incoming and outgoing ACH transmission files.
Predicts cash requirements and cash position through analysis of budgetary needs and financial reports.
Forecasts daily cash position by analyzing cash receipts and disbursements.
Maintains integrity and accuracy in financial transactions and reports.
Applies best practices to improve efficiency in cash collections, fund transfers, cash disbursements, month-end account closing activities, and inter-departmental reporting.
Creates new systems and methods to optimize cash inflow from different business activities and banking arrangements and reduce the risk of credit losses ?Updates accounting database for daily financial transactions.
Maintains a backup for all financial data.
Develops financial reports to assist senior management in making appropriate decisions regarding cash management plans and priorities.
Implements Treasury workstation.
Evaluates and optimizes overall banking fee structure.
Supports capital market efforts and respective teams with various securitization duties including cash liquidity positioning, covenant analysis and trust account reconciliations.
Oversight of cash drawers and repayments under Mariner's credit facilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, and/or Finance.
CPA, CFA and or Master's degree preferred.
Seven (7) to ten (10) + years of proven and progressive cash management experience.
Advanced knowledge and experience working in Excel (modeling/macros).
Effective human relations and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented style.
Ability to prioritize and lead multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and sense of urgency.
Well-developed analytical and presentation skills to both evaluate information, concepts, and practices, and to successfully convey to others in their terms the import and impact of financial activities on business plans and objectives.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
