Child Psychologist - White Marsh Medical Center

The Child Psychologist evaluates and treats patients referred by mental health providers, conducts family therapy, consults with primary care providers regarding mental health aspects of family and patient management and performs psychological testing. Essential Responsibilities: Evaluates and diagnoses the mental health of children and adults, utilizing psychological tests where appropriate. Provides brief intensive treatment for children and families, in person and through telemedicine, as well as ongoing group and supportive therapy in appropriate cases. Determines need for child psychiatric referrals in consultation with pediatricians and mental health providers. Consults regularly with the mental health staff and pediatric primary care providers on patient care issues. Maintains liaison with community resources for child mental health services. Assists in implementing mental health in-service educating programs for medical staff. Participates in staff development meetings and quality-or-care activities on a regular basis. Performs other related duties as directed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
