Senior Consultant Organization Effectiveness
Job Summary
This position requires prior change management experience.
Designs, develops, implements and evaluates Organizational Effectiveness (OE) programs and interventions.
Collaborates with HR and other groups to implement programs that enhance associate performance and
engagement. Leads OE teams and coordinates complex OE interventions with members of leadership.
Serves as a member of the OE organization, and contributes to the development of OE programs, processes,
tools and techniques. Travels to deliver OE programs and interventions as necessary.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources Development, Industrial
Psychology, or related field. Masters degree strongly preferred.
Experience: 7 years of experience in HR, with a focus on OD. Experience in the development, facilitation
and project management of organization, team, employee and management development programs and
interventions, working with middle and senior managers and a diverse employee base. Experience working
with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods and in leading and managing teams. 2
years experience in two or more OD pillars: Leadership Development, Continuous Learning and Growth and
Change Management. Significant experience in human resources (specific to OD, Organizational
Effectiveness, Training and Development, Performance Management, Organizational Design).
LICENSE/CERT/REG: SPHR / PHR or similar certification preferred. Certification in MBTI, Franklin Covey,
situational leadership or similar certification preferred.
SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written skills with knowledge of presentation techniques for presenting OE
programs to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, goals and timetables to achieve
maximum productivity. Proven facilitation skills that help groups understand their common objectives and
assists them in achieving those objectives without taking a particular position in the discussion. Demonstrated
knowledge of OE best practices, tools and implementation approaches. Proven track record of designing,
implementing and managing ongoing projects and directing the related resources, personnel and activities to
successful completion. Ability to design components and delivery approaches for course offerings.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzes the effectiveness of complex, system-wide programs, provides comprehensive summary reports,
and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaborates with team members to develop and review alignment of Organizational Effectiveness's mission,
vision, values, strategic plan and performance with those of MedStar and Human Resources. Contributes to
the development of the department's operating plan and activities.
Conceptualizes and authors outlines for OE instructional offerings to address business needs.
Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department
policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation
regulations.
Gathers relevant information and diagnoses OE needs and issues within and across Entities. Designs
outcome-based interventions to meet identified needs. Manages projects in partnership with internal clients to
achieve specific objectives.
Leads the successful delivery of OE instructional offerings.
Mentors, coaches and/or advises MSH leaders at all levels in support of the business or to address business
requirements or change.
Participates in multidisciplinary committees and serves as an ambassador for MedStar Health, the
department, and the community at large.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Provides mentoring, coaching, and guidance to OE Consultants. Actively participates in the development of
self and other team members by soliciting and giving continuous informal feedback, contributing to the formal
annual evaluation process, and seeking out other professional learning opportunities.
Upholds and supports formal OE service request and service delivery processes and requirements. Serves as
lead consultant for individual, unit, department and system level interventions in Leadership Development,
Change Management and Continuous Learning. Supports other strategic OE initiatives as needed.
Physical Requirements
NO PATIENT CARE/CONTACT: Visual Acuity. Manual dexterity. Light physical effort: Physical mobility with
ability to lift, push or pull up to and including 15 lbs. Walking, standing, sitting for prolonged periods. Ability to
hear and orally communicate. Ability to read, comprehend and write the English language.
Working Conditions
May be required to travel to various locations as needed. Reliable transportation may be required.
Working at another site and/or other MedStar departments or programs may be required.
ATTENDANCE: Regular job attendance is an essential job function.
NO PATIENT CARE/CONTACT: Mostly sedentary work in office type setting. Use of office equipment on a
regular basis including computers, phones, etc. Potential for incidental exposure to patients, visitors and
family members with a variety of physical and psychiatric/mental health conditions. Position may require
flexible scheduling, off-shifts, weekend, holiday, on-call and/or overtime hours of work in accordance with
department policy or procedures.

CB Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
